    COACH LAWRENCE AKPOKONA NEEDS URGENT MEDICAL ASSISTANCE

    Former international, ex-Bendel Insurance player, and veteran coach, Coach Lawrence Akpokona, is currently bedridden at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH). He has been hospitalized since October 13, 2025, due to a spinal cord injury.

    This is a clarion call to the Edo State Government, Delta State Government, the Nigeria Football Federation, and the National Sports Commission to come to Coach Akpokona’s rescue.

    Coach Akpokona has undergone three major surgeries since October last year.
