One of the most inspiring highlights of the 6th Graduation and Prize Giving Day of My Dream Stead School was the official enrolment of 10 students into the My Dream Stead School Unit of the Nigerian Red Cross Society.
With instructors from the Lagos State Branch of the Nigerian Red Cross Society in attendance, these students were formally registered, trained, tested, and certified to administer first aid. Their certificates were proudly presented by the Member representing Ajeromi-Ifelodun Federal Constituency, Hon. Dr. Kalejaiye Adeboye Paul.
A functional Red Cross Society in a school is more than an extracurricular activity—it is a platform for raising compassionate, responsible, and safety-conscious young people. It equips students with life-saving skills, prepares them to respond effectively during emergencies, promotes a culture of service, and instills values of humanity, leadership, teamwork, and selflessness.
In a world where every second can make a difference during an emergency, having trained student first-aiders within the school community is invaluable. These young Red Cross members are not only students; they are emerging lifesavers, peace builders, and ambassadors of humanitarian service.
