The commissioner of sports and youth development, Eng. Surajo Yazid Abukur, has pledged to continue giving support and assistance to sports-loving people in the state for more development in the sports sector.
Eng. Surajo Yazid Abukur made the pledge when he attended the final match of this year’s PMB Memorial Super Cup in the Daura Senatorial Zone.
After witnessing the match, the sports commissioner rejoiced with the winners and commended the sports-loving fans for coming out in their numbers to witness the much-anticipated encounter.
While addressing the teeming spectators, the commissioner rewards the match officials, the supporters club, and the commentators with one hundred thousand naira each for making the game lively and interesting.
Similarly, Eng. Abukur, who requested for the expansion of the competition to cover the whole state, donated empowerment slots to forty-two supporters from all participating clubs.
He used the occasion to call on the teeming youths in the state to continue engaging in various sporting activities, as the current state administration of Governor Dikko Radda is determined to support them whenever the need arises.
