- The much awaited Ajegunle All stars league tagged above 40 took place this weekend in the city of Ajegunle with two centers desiginated for matches. The tournament which would be played in a league format will see 16 teams participating and grouped into two sections and teams shall play home and away format.
The Nathniel idowu pitch at unity primary school orege and the maraccana pitch will play host to the 16 teams participating in the tournament that will run for a duration of 3 months.
The LOC chairman of the Ajegunle All stars league above 40, Mr Peter Okereke stated that the league idea was to recreate that vibrancy and skills of some of retired players who are coaches and also it’s way to shaping this ones who have played the game one time or the other.
The Director General of sports in Ajeromi Ifelidun LGA emphasize the importance of being the community together through the idea of the Ajegunle All stars league and also to foster unity among the players in Ajegunle and it’s environ. The Football Association Chairman Mr shola Omojoye in the sports council of Ajif sports thanked all the participating teams and assured them all of a fair and thorough organization of the tournament tagged above 40.

Kirikir All stars, AJ All stars, West minister All stars, by fire by force All stars, Olodi All stars, No Downgrading All stars, indomitable FC United all stars from badagry etc.
The price money for the league winner as stated by the chairman of league is 1 million, runner up 500,00 naira and 3rd place 300,000 naira.
