BILLIONAIRE BUSINESS MOGUL PETER OMOH DUNIA HAS MOVED AILING COACH KADIRI IKHANA TO TURKISH HOSPITAL ABUJA.

After due consultations with family and friends on Saturday, 19th July 2025, at Auchi, Edo State, at 12:30pm, the Abuja and Lagos-based businessman Peter Omoh Dunia, a philanthropist par excellence, also of Etsakor extraction as Kadiri Ikhana in Edo State, took action.

Dunia, a bosom friend of this writer and patron of the Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria (PFAN), led by Tijani Babangida (MON), was contacted by yours sincerely when I read a piece by Chief Segun Odegbami on Ikhana’s health late on Tuesday, 15th July. I immediately put a call across to him that night; he was outside the country but gave me his word that he would help.

As the Saturday meeting was going on, Peter Dunia made an instant call to the Turkish Hospital management to expect Coach Kadiri Ikhana on Monday, 21st July 2025. As we speak, after a series of tests, Coach Kadiri Ikhana was admitted at 6pm yesterday for better and further medical attention.

This is a clarion call to all Nigerian sports authorities, both at the federal and state levels, that they must wake up to their responsibilities and duty of care to Nigerian sports men and women, current and retired. No senior government official, either at the state or federal level, would have used the Irrua Specialist Hospital as a final medical destination concerning any ailment.

Having secured private sponsorship for Coach Kadiri Ikhana’s health, the Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria (PFAN) has initiated a move to ensure the National Sports Commission, the Nigeria Football Federation, and the Edo State Government support Coach Ikhana’s welfare and post-medical rehabilitation.
