The home-based Super Eagles have started preparations for the 2024 African Nations Championship, DAILY POST reports.
21 players took part in the team’s first training session at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne on Monday night.
The remaining 14 players are expected to hit camp on Tuesday (today).
Head coach Eric Chelle named a 35-man provisional list for the competition last week.
The team is expected to engage in series of friendlies while in camp.
Nigeria will face defending champions Senegal, Sudan, and Congo in Group D at the CHAN 2024 finals.
Chelle’s side will start their campaign against Senegal at the Amman Stadium, Zanzibar on Tuesday, 7 August 2025
They are making a return to the competition after missing the last two editions.
The CHAN 2024 finals which will be hosted by three countries will run from Saturday, 2 August to Saturday 30, August.
