The Switzerland based Coach, coach Adedeji Adeyemi Anthony said hope is not lost yet for Nigeria to qualify for the 2026 FIFA world Cup.
Speaking with Faith Akindele ( Mr Stereo) on his Sport show Sport Gallery on Crowther 88.5 FM OYO. The Nigeria born coach who is coaching in Switzerland said according to his own opinion and his experience in coaching for 15 years, believed that anything can happen in football , he gave an example of how Chelsea defected PSG in the FIFA club world cup despite PSG winning the UEFA champions League and their dominance still Chelsea surprised the world so South Africa can slip off .
Coach Adedeji Adeyemi also weighed on what Mikel And Olise said , by saying Mikel and Olise should wait till the qualifications are over before they start to condemn anybody because if things turn around and Nigeria qualifies will the comes out again and repeat the same statement’.
He further attributes the cause of super eagles struggle from when coach jose pesiro was in charge of the team and now compared the a coach who has played games and still unbeaten , Coach Adedeji Adeyemi said to him Eric seko Chelle has done excellently well with the team and believes he is still the right man to handle Super eagles.
Looking forward to AFCON in Morocco swiss based Coach said he can’t say 💯 Nigeria will win the AFCON but with some grade a friendly like the one they will play against South America side Venezuela in November will really help the team to prepare well and anything can happen in Morocco.
The swiss Based Coach, coach Adedeji Adeyemi Anthony finally advised Nigerians to be patriotic about their country and always show support not just condemned always and also tasked those in affairs on support to work on Developing football with well-structured professional league, alongside youths league system U15, U17 and U21 from grassroots.
with coaching and referee education, players support systems and excellent hospitality.
We must recognise that inadequate investment will not yield optimal results on the field or else Nigeria will find it difficult to qualify for another world cup until they do the right thing because football is not a rocked science.
