Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government today etched its name boldly in the sand of progress as the Executive Chairman, Hon. (Dr.) Olalekan Olu Akindipe, officially flagged off five transformative projects in a single, defining moment of governance.
The projects include the construction and rehabilitation of Babani Street, Oluwa Street, Uweriro Street, the comprehensive upgrade of Akere Primary Health Centre (PHC), and the foundation laying ceremony of a 700-Seater ICT Hub.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Chairman described the projects as practical proof that the reforms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu under the Renewed Hope Agenda are yielding measurable dividends for local governance across Nigeria.
He noted that for the first time in the history of Ajeromi-Ifelodun, the Local Government is executing five capital-intensive, people-centered projects simultaneously — a feat made possible by the fiscal and administrative strengthening of local councils championed by the President.
The road projects will open up critical corridors, stimulate commerce, improve mobility, and increase property value within densely populated communities long overdue for structured intervention.
The Akere Primary Health Centre upgrade will expand access to quality primary healthcare, reduce maternal and child health risks, and strengthen community-based medical response systems.
The 700-Seater ICT Hub, whose foundation was laid today, signals a strategic pivot toward digital empowerment. It is designed to position Ajeromi-Ifelodun as a technology-ready local government — equipping young people with 21st-century skills and bridging the digital divide.
The Chairman emphasized that governance under his administration is built on alignment — federal reforms, state partnership, and local execution. He praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for restoring financial and operational confidence in local governments, creating the enabling environment for bold developmental strides.
Community leaders, party faithful, youth representatives, and market associations present at the ceremony described the simultaneous flag-off as unprecedented in the annals of the Local Government.
This administration remains committed to responsible spending, transparent execution, and politically conscious governance that understands one simple truth: development is the strongest campaign message.
