Kwara United Football Club hosted Dolly P Football Club on Saturday in a friendly match at the Kwara State Stadium’s training ground in Ilorin.

The match was part of Kwara United’s preparations for the upcoming Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season and CAF Continental matches.

The match ended goalless, with both teams creating scoring opportunities but unable to find the back of the net.

Coach Tunde Sanni of Kwara United used the friendly match to test new players who had been invited to join the team.

After the match, Dolly P’s Coach Daniel Azarel expressed his gratitude to Kwara United for the opportunity to play against them. “We’re thrilled to have had this friendly match with Kwara United, it was a great experience for our team, and we’re looking forward to more matches like this in the future.”

Dolly P Football Club’s proprietor, Alhaji Rafiu Yusuf, a former player, was present at the match and shared his thoughts. “I’m happy that my team played a goalless draw with Kwara United,” he said.

He thanked fans who turned out to watch the match. However, he wasn’t pleased with Kwara United’s attire, saying, “As a brand team and one of the top teams in Nigeria, I expected them to wear special jerseys for training. It’s a pity they didn’t.”

The friendly match was a valuable experience for both teams, allowing them to fine-tune their skills and prepare for the upcoming season. Dolly P Football Club is gearing up for a busy season, with the team set to participate in various activities..
