The Executive Chairman of Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government, Hon. Olalekan Olu Akindipe, has been unanimously selected for an international honour by the Chartered Institute of Public Resources Management and Politics (CIPRMP), Ghana, in recognition of his outstanding leadership, integrity, and people-oriented governance.
In a formal communication addressed to the Chairman, the Governing Council and Advisory Board of the Institute announced his investiture as a Professional Fellowship Doctorate Honouree and his induction into the prestigious 2026 Hall of Fame, an honour reserved for credible statesmen and transformational public leaders across West Africa.
According to the Institute, Hon. Akindipe’s selection is anchored on his incorruptible track record, exceptional administrative capacity, and demonstrable commitment to public resources management, democratic values, and grassroots development.
Particular commendation was given to his achievements in the areas of:
1. Strengthening primary healthcare through hospitals and health centres
2. Building, rehabilitating, and upgrading public schools.
3. Construction and rehabilitation of accessible road networks
4. Community electrification projects
Student-focused educational support initiatives
5. Market development and economic inclusion
6. Consistent humanitarian and philanthropic interventions for the less privileged.
The Institute described Hon. Akindipe as a world-class corporate professional, policy development expert, outstanding democratic icon, and leadership colossus with a strong community development focus, whose stewardship has continued to project Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government as a model of responsive and people-centred governance in Lagos State and Nigeria at large.
The investiture ceremony is scheduled for Monday, 9th February 2026, during a formal visit by Executive Directors of the Institute, to be led by its Vice President.
