Officials of Athletics Federation of Nigeria(AFN) and National Sports Commission (NSC) are currently on a Jamboree To Tokyo whilst trying so hard to justify their estacode
Attempt at tactical maneuver and a desperate effort to hoodwink the public has made the AFN and NSC go to the media with the aim of covering up for their gross administrative incompetence.
They are not telling us more officials than athletes travelled to Tokyo and they are actually the ones going on a Jamboree despite multiple failure to do their job in ensuring athletes made it to the 2025 World Relays.
As a result, Nigeria will not be fielding any relay team at the 2025 World Athletics Championships but that hasn’t affected their Jamboree trip and estacode which they are more interested in defending.
They are telling us only 15 athletes are going to Tokyo because it’s no longer an era of Jamboree without telling us why more
Officials travelled to Tokyo than athletes or is it their turn for Jamboree???
Up until now, no one explained why the following athletes who qualified automatically for their events are left out of the team:

🇳🇬Ella Onojuvwevwo – 400m
🇳🇬Temitope Adeshina – High Jump
At least we are now aware the “Favours” have dumped their sorry state.
The Relay Team they failed to prepare and take the athletes to would have automatically extended participation to the following athletes:

🇳🇬Itsekiri Itseoritshe – 4x100m
🇳🇬Fakorede Adekalu – 4x100m
🇳🇬Olayinka Olajide – 4x100m
🇳🇬Justina Eyakpobayen – 4x100m
🇳🇬Success Umukoro- 4x100m
🇳🇬Eddidiong Udo – 4x400m/Mixed
🇳🇬Ifeanyi Ojeli – 4x400m/Mixed
🇳🇬Samson Nathaniel – 4x400m/Mixed
🇳🇬Omolara Ogunmakinju – 4x400m/Mixed
🇳🇬Chioma Nwachukwu – 4x400m/Mixed
🇳🇬Opeyemi Oke – 4x400m/Mixed
🇳🇬Patience Okon George – 4×400/Mixed
So instead of being honest about how their failures cost these athletes an opportunity on the global stage, they are busy trying to insult our collective intelligence by going to the media with a misleading narrative that only 15 athletes are going because it’s no longer the era of Jamboree.
The support for our athletes is the only reason we are watching the Tokyo25 event, not because of these self-serving, estacode chasing, Inept officials who have no iota of shame left in them.
