It’s been years since the Asoama Fusion Sports Academy project was initiated, but what do we have to show for it? Despite spending thousands of dollars on designs and technical drawings, the project has been plagued by fraud and corruption.

For those who don’t know, Asoama Academy was our dream and ambition. We spent thousands of dollars to produce designs and technical drawings, but the truth is, you can’t succeed with someone else’s plan if it wasn’t originally yours.
THE FAILURE OF ASOAMA CONTRACTORS.
If the Asoama contractors had worked like Monimichelle Sports, there would have been visible sporting facilities at the Asoama Sports Institute by now. Instead, we have a project that has been hijacked by political contractors who who are not knowledgeable about sports infrastructure and also don’t mean well for Bayelsa State.
CELEBRATING CRIMINALITY?
We must not celebrate criminality in Bayelsa State. Our state is underdeveloped because of these so-called political contractors. For the past 16 years, I have been speaking out against this fraud, and I will not stop until justice is served.

Asoama town is in Sabagria, and I challenge anyone to go and check. The Bayelsa State Fusion Academy would have best in Africa, with projected site preparation for the construction of a FIFA-approved geo technology pitch for international games, an 8-lane IAAF-approved full PU athletic track, and a FIFA-approved geo technology practice pitch.

THE ASOAMA FUSION SPORTS ACADEMY PROJECT: A VISION BETRAYED
In 2017, a visionary project was born to create a world-class sports academy in Kolokuma Opokuma L.G.A, Bayelsa State, Nigeria. The Asoama Fusion Sports Academy aimed to provide a comprehensive platform for young athletes to excel in various sports disciplines while receiving quality education. The project was designed to be a 60% education and 40% sports institution, with state-of-the-art facilities to rival the best in Africa.
The academy was intended to offer a holistic approach to sports development, combining technical training with academic education. The project’s vision was to produce well-rounded athletes who would excel in their respective sports and become role models for future generations.
FRAUD AND CORRUPTION: THE CABAL’S GAME.
However, the project was soon hijacked by a group of individuals known as the “Restoration to Prosperity cabals.
These individuals, who were supposed to oversee the project, had other plans. They embezzled over 6 billion Naira, leaving nothing for the project. The cabal’s actions were a clear betrayal of the trust placed in them, and their corruption has hindered the progress of the project.

Despite the setbacks, Monimichelle, the founder of the project, refused to give up. Together, they aimed to create a world-class sports academy that would make Nigeria and Africa proud.

THE CABAL’S DESPERATE ATTEMPTS TO COVER UP.

The present commisioner of sports development admitted students into the academy without completing the facilities, putting their lives at risk. The school environment was not properly fumigated, leading to over 4 cases of snake bites.
