Nigeria’s renowned football star, Chinwendu Ihezuo, has once again demonstrated her commitment to promoting grassroots football in the country. The Super Falcons forward has donated awards for the Most Valuable Player, Highest Goal Scorer, Best Goalkeeper, and Fair Play Award to the upcoming MTN-Ajegunle Peace Cup.
This year’s edition of the tournament, set to kick off on October 1, 2025, will feature 32 teams competing at two centers across Ajegunle. Ihezuo’s generosity is part of her ongoing efforts to support young athletes and promote sports development in Nigeria through her Ihezuo Foundation.

This isn’t Ihezuo’s first philanthropic gesture in the football community. She has previously donated a set of jerseys and balls to the Ajegunle United Sporting Club, showcasing her dedication to empowering young athletes.
