Coach Busari Hakeem Ishola is a vastly experienced and respected figure in Nigerian and West African football based on consistency
Born on April 17, 1965, in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, Coach Busari has spent over three decades shaping football talents and contributing to the growth of clubs across Nigeria and beyond.
Coach Busari has brought energy, discipline, and vision to every team he has led. His coaching journey spans grassroots academies, elite clubs, and national assignments, reflecting a passion deeply rooted in football development.
Coach Busari began his coaching career in the early 1990s and gradually rose through the ranks, taking charge of various clubs including Shooting Stars SC, Crown FC, Bayelsa United, Gateway United, and Bayelsa Queens, among others.
Internationally, he has served as Technical Adviser to JSP FC de Pobe and Espoir de Savalou FC in Benin Republic, making a mark across borders.
His time with Shooting Stars SC, one of Nigeria’s most historic clubs, saw him rise from Assistant Coach to Chief Coach, helping guide the team to promotion and competing strongly in the national FA Cup.
His work with Gateway United between 2018 and 2021 is also particularly notable, where he led the team to a quarterfinal appearance in the prestigious Aiteo Cup and captured the Ogun State FA Cup title.
Coach Busari is currently the Technical Adviser of Espoir de Savalou FC (Benin Republic), continuing his legacy of raising standards and nurturing competitive teams.
