    Alasia, Ijanikin is set for a massive Independence Day football carnival as the Woye Street Cup 2026 – Season 2 storms the community on Thursday, October 1, 2026.

    From 8:00am, the area in front of Topmark Hotel, Alasia, Ijanikin, will come alive as 16 teams battle for the ultimate prize in a one-day street football showdown designed to bring football, entertainment, excitement and community spirit together.

    The confirmed teams include Crocodile FC, Upper Echelon, FC Lagos, Friday Friends, Animals FC, Mission FC, Sinmisola FC, Bright Future FC, Set Bombers, GAZ FC, Sporting FC, Omis FC, Okoko All Star, Legacy FC, Tee FC and Liberty FC.

    With 16 teams chasing one trophy, every game promises to carry its own drama. There will be no room for complacency because the competition is designed to move quickly, with teams knowing that every goal could make the difference between advancing and going home.

    The football is not the only attraction.

    The organisers have announced ₦100,000 for the champions, while the runners-up will receive ₦50,000.
