The 57th Induction Ceremony of the Chartered Institute of Administration (CIA) was successfully held on Friday, June 26, 2026, at the Centre for Management Development (CMD), marking another significant milestone in the institute’s commitment to advancing professionalism, ethical leadership, and excellence in administration across Nigeria.

The induction ceremony was preceded by an intensive professional workshop on Thursday, June 25, 2026, designed for candidates in the Associate Membership category, Direct Membership applicants, Full Membership candidates, Fellows, as well as members undergoing upgrade to higher professional cadres. The workshop equipped participants with contemporary knowledge, professional ethics, leadership competencies, and best administrative practices expected of members of the institute.

The colourful induction ceremony attracted distinguished administrators, professionals, public servants, captains of industry, academia, and invited guests from across the country. The event celebrated the admission and elevation of members into various professional categories within the institute.
A total of 275 professionals were inducted and elevated, comprising:
– 79 Fellows (FCIA)
– 102 Full Members (MCIA)
– 94 Associates (ACIA)

The induction lecture was delivered by the Immediate Past President, Adm. Dr. Festus Oshoba, FCIA, who charged the newly inducted members to embrace continuous professional development, uphold integrity, demonstrate competence, and remain worthy ambassadors of the institute. He stressed that administration remains the backbone of effective governance and organizational success, urging members to contribute meaningfully to national development through efficient service delivery and sound administrative practices.
Delivering the keynote address, the President and Chairman-in-Council, Adm. Ugochukwu Azubuko, congratulated the inductees on attaining an important milestone in their professional journey. He admonished them to live by the institute’s code of professional ethics, maintain honesty, accountability, discipline, and excellence in all their endeavours, while protecting the image and reputation of the Chartered Institute of Administration.

According to him, professional certification is not merely a title but a lifelong commitment to ethical conduct, innovation, leadership, and continuous learning in the ever-evolving field of administration.
The ceremony also featured the administration of the professional oath, presentation of certificates and insignia to the newly inducted members, goodwill messages from senior Fellows.
The atmosphere was filled with excitement as inductees, accompanied by their families, friends, and professional colleagues, celebrated the successful completion of another important chapter in their careers. The event provided an avenue for networking, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas among professionals from both the public and private sectors.
