By Edema Fuludu ( MON )

    Delta PFAN 6 Nation tournament.
It started last year as Delta pfan 3 Nation tournament with the 3 major AllStars FC in Warri participating.
    1. Delta AllStars int’l Warri (NNPC)
    2. Xplayers int’l FC Warri
    3. Delta AllStars int’l FC Warri (FGC)
We had first and runners up prizes of #1m and #.5m respectively.
This edition was won by my team Xplayers int’l FC Warri. Nana College is our home ground because that’s where we train.
The NNPC means that AllStars train in NNPC housing complex field Ekpan their home ground and the Delta AllStars int’l FC FGC is Federal Government College field where they also train. This was 2025. I served as Adviser to the LOC and was also allowed to play matches since I am GS and also my reach in making the championship a success

This year 2026 it was expanded to 6 teams.
The reason being that we are creating awareness and making ex footballers become PFAN members.
So this year we had a lead sponsor in Charlington Hotels and Apartments Ekpan and Charlington Hotels and event center Agbarho owned by Engr Chief Charles Ekajeh and good friend of mine.
    The winning prizes are
    1. Winner #2m
    2. Runner-up #1m
    3. 3rd place #500k
    The 6 teams are
    1. Delta AllStars int’l Warri (NNPC)
    2. Xplayers int’l FC Warri
    3. Delta AllStars int’l FC Warri (FGC)
    4. Ighogbadu professionals FC Warri
    5. Uvwie Explayers FC Effurun
    6. Agbarho All Stars FC Agbarho.
This tournament least I forget is for 50years and above and means of identification are basically 3.
    1. First school leaving certificate
    2. NIN
    3. PVC
If you do not have any of these you cannot play.
The teams in a draw were split into two groups of A & B.
Matches are home and away league basis with two matches to be played every Saturday.
The third place and finals will be played on the 31st of May 2026.
One important feature of this tournament is the compulsory BP checks on players before every match and it has revealed a lot that most ex footballers have high BP and so it is an opportunity for discovery and treatment to prevent the deadly consequences especially while playing or training.

Kudos to the Chairman of Delta State PFAN Dr Brown Ogbeifun for this initiative and driving it with the help of the LOC led by the South South Commissioner of PFAN Chief Kenneth Nwaomucha JP.
Ex footballers are running their show and we think it is a positive initiative to drive home the awareness about the Union.
Below is the current tables and fixtures.

Last year (2025) BOT chairman Comrade Harrison Jalla was there to support the closing ceremony activities.
