Later this year, the fields at *New Maracana Sports Complex, Ajegunle* will come alive again.
Peakline Sports World Limited, in partnership with the Nathaniel Idowu Foundation, will kick off *four major youth football programmes* before the end of 2026. The mission remains the same: _discover talent, build character, and use football to transform lives._
Building on the success of earlier projects like the Let Her Play Project and the Nathaniel Idowu – Ajegunle Under 14 Football League* executed in February 2026, the partnership is now scaling up to reach more schools and communities.
Here are the four programmes they will deliver:
*1. Nathaniel Idowu Summer Camp 2026*
They will launch the *Nathaniel Idowu Summer Camp 2026* — a development camp for young players during the school break.
The camp will focus on technical training, fitness, life skills, and education. Players will work with qualified coaches in a professional environment, with a focus on discipline, health, and academics alongside football.
*2. Nathaniel Idowu Junior 7s 2026*
They will roll out the *Nathaniel Idowu Junior 7s 2026* — a 7-a-side league for secondary schools across Lagos State.
From *September to December 2026*, 24-32 schools will compete in knockout qualifiers. 12 schools will advance to an 11-week round-robin league every Friday at New Maracana.
With *over ₦2,500,000 in prize money* and free registration, the Junior 7s will become one of Lagos’ biggest school competitions.
*3. Nathaniel Idowu Under 16 Football League*
They will also host the *Nathaniel Idowu Under 16 Football League*.
This league will target U16 players from communities and academies across Lagos State. It will provide a structured pathway for teenagers who are too old for U14 but still in development.
Expect professional match officials, medical support, player data, and weekly media coverage.
*4. Nathaniel Idowu Unity Cup*
To close the year, they will stage the *Nathaniel Idowu Unity Cup* — a community tournament designed to bring different areas of Lagos and neighbouring countries together through football.
The Unity Cup will feature selected teams playing for pride, trophies, and cash prizes. Beyond the games, it will be a celebration of culture, peace, and youth engagement.
*A Track Record of Impact*
Earlier in February 2026, the Foundation and Peakline delivered the *Let Her Play Project* and the *Nathaniel Idowu – Ajegunle Under 14 Football League*.
Those programmes gave hundreds of boys and girls their first taste of organized football — with ID cards, coaching, and media exposure. They proved the model works.
Now, with these four new programmes, the goal is bigger: reach more schools, more communities, and more young people.
