The RAK/BDFA League 2025/2026 Female Edition**, scheduled to kick off on Monday, October 19, 2026, is a must-participate competition for female football clubs and academies across Lagos State seeking growth, visibility and a brighter future for their players.
Organised by the Badagry Divisional Football Association in conjunction with the RAK Development Foundation (Real Act of Kindness), the sixth edition offers young female footballers a valuable platform to showcase their talent, test their abilities against quality opposition and gain the competitive experience required to advance their careers.
For clubs and academies, participation goes beyond winning trophies. It provides an opportunity to assess players, improve tactical discipline, build team confidence and attract the attention of scouts, football administrators and potential sponsors. For the girls who have embraced football as a career and source of livelihood, the league represents hope, opportunity and a possible pathway to professional football.
Regular competitive action can strengthen their technical skills, mental resilience, teamwork and self-belief while opening doors to higher-level opportunities. Their participation also reinforces the message that female football deserves investment, recognition and sustainable development.
Special recognition goes to **Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlende, Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development**, whose support for youth football development reflects the importance of using sports to empower young people, discover talent and create positive opportunities.
The RAK/BDFA League should therefore be embraced by every serious female football club and academy in Lagos. It is more than a competition; it is an investment in the dreams, careers and future of the next generation of female football stars.
**The time to participate, develop and shine is now!**
