NATHANIEL IDOWU U-16 FOOTBALL LEAGUE 2026 THE UNBEATEN FALL? FORTUNE FACES DESPERATE SERAPHIC AS AJEGUNLE HUNT FOR BACK-TO-BACK

After two weeks of 34 goals, shock results and heavy defeats, the table is already telling stories. Week 3 is where contenders separate from pretenders.

    CURRENT TABLE AFTER WEEK 2:
    1. Fortune FA – 6pts (+7)
    2. Bright Star FA – 4pts (+4)
    3. Ajegunle United SC – 4pts (+4)
    4. Young Eleven FA – 4pts (+1)
    5. St. Petersburg FA – 3pts (+1)

Bottom three are winless – Seraphic (0pts), Moore Wins (1pt), SC Heritage (1pt) all need points badly.

    NEW MARACANA SPORTS COMPLEX, TOLU

8:00am: Seraphic FA vs Fortune FA – David vs Goliath

Fortune FA are the only perfect team left. 2 games, 2 wins, 8 goals scored, 1 conceded. They demolished Divinely Blessed 6-0 in Week 2. They look like champions already.

Seraphic FA are bottom. 1-5 vs Bright Star in Week 1, 3-5 vs St. Petersburg in Week 2. 10 goals conceded in 2 games. Their defence is leaking.

Can Seraphic park the bus and stop the Fortune juggernaut? Fortune have scored in the first 15 mins in both games. If Seraphic concedes early again, it could be another cricket scoreline. This is Seraphic’s last chance to stay in the top-4 race.

9:15am: Moore Wins Foundation FA vs St. Petersburg FA – Battle of the Wounded Pride

This is personal. Moore Wins drew 2-2 in Week 1 showing spirit, then collapsed 0-4 to Ajegunle United in Week 2. 1 point from 2 games, confidence low.

St. Petersburg lost 1-2 to Fortune in Week 1, then exploded 5-3 vs Seraphic in Week 2. Their attack finally clicked – 5 different scorers? They are dangerous going forward but concede too many.

Both defences have conceded 6 goals each. Who will defend better? St. Petersburg will want to build momentum with back-to-back wins and climb into top 3. For Moore Wins, anything less than a win and their semi-final dream is almost over.

10:30am: Young Eleven FA vs Bright Star FA – The Unbeaten Test

Match of the morning! Young Eleven are unbeaten – 1-1 draw vs Ajegunle in Week 1, then a gritty 1-0 win vs SC Heritage in Week 2. They don’t score many but they don’t concede much either (only 1 goal in 2 games) – best defence in league.

Bright Star are also unbeaten – smashed Seraphic 5-1 in Week 1, then held 1-1 by Atico in Week 2. 4 points, +4 GD. They have the most potent attack.

Best defence vs Best attack. Young Eleven’s 1-0 win last week showed they can grind. If they keep Bright Star quiet for 30 minutes, the pressure shifts. Bright Star need to prove the 1-1 draw was just a blip.

    NATHANIEL IDOWU PITCH, OREGIE

1:00pm: Atico FA vs SC Heritage – Winless No More?

Two teams desperate for their first win. Atico lost a thriller 3-4 to Divinely Blessed in Week 1, then earned a massive 1-1 draw vs title favourites Bright Star in Week 2. That draw will give them belief.

SC Heritage drew 2-2 vs Moore Wins in Week 1, then lost 0-1 to Young Eleven in Week 2. They have only 1 point and have not led in any game this season.

Loser here drops to bottom 2. Atico’s attack scored 4 goals in 2 games – they can score. Heritage’s problem is scoring – only 2 goals in 2 games. Who wants it more?

2:30pm: Divinely Blessed FA vs Ajegunle United SC – Revenge Mission in Oregie

Headline game of Week 3 to close the day! Divinely Blessed started like champions – 4-3 win vs Atico in Week 1. Then reality check – hammered 6-0 by Fortune FA in Week 2. From scoring 4 to conceding 6 in 7 days.

Ajegunle United are the form team – drew 1-1 vs Young Eleven in Week 1, then destroyed Moore Wins 4-0 in Week 2. That 4-0 is the second biggest win of the season so far. Momentum is with them.

Divinely Blessed need to show the 6-0 was an accident and their Week 1 win was real. Ajegunle United smell blood and want back-to-back wins to go joint top with Fortune. Oregie will be loud – Ajegunle United consider Oregie their home. Can Divinely Blessed handle the crowd?
