The Nathaniel Idowu Under-16 Football League continued in explosive fashion in Week 2, with 21 goals scored across 5 matches, red cards, derby dominance, and late drama that had fans on their feet at the New Maracana Sports Complex in Tolu.
After Week 1 produced 22 goals and instant stars, Week 2 proved this league is not a one-week wonder. Fortune FA delivered the biggest statement, Ajegunle United got their revenge, and the Golden Boot race took a new twist.

Fortune FA 6-0 Divinely Blessed FA
Fortune FA picked up right where they left off at U-14 level and put Divinely Blessed to the sword with a ruthless 6-0 win.
Odunayo Odesola was unstoppable with a first-half hat-trick in the 3rd, 16th and 25th minutes, while Daniel Udoh added another before the break to make it 4-0. The game turned early when Divinely Blessed goalkeeper Mira Odey was sent off for bringing down an onrushing attacker.
Substitute Akanbi Quadri came off the bench to add a second-half brace in the 63rd and 70th minutes. Agbato Wasiu was the chief creator with 4 assists, 3 of them in the first half.

This was the game of the day. Bright Stars SAβs Week 1 hero Valentine Aniako picked up from his hat-trick last week and grabbed his 4th goal of the season in the 80th minute to cancel out Timilehin Ajomaleβs 74th minute opener for Atico FA.
It was a proper response from Bright Stars, who ran riot 5-1 in Week 1. Midfield general Sheriff Musa controlled proceedings for Bright Stars and was deservedly named Man of the Match despite the late equaliser.

Ajegunle United SC 4-0 Moore Wins Foundation FA
Revenge was served cold. After the hype of this “derby” in our Week 2 preview, Ajegunle United delivered a masterclass.
Peter Adoga benefitted from a goalkeeping error in the 22nd minute and added another in the 74th. Onyebuchi Okolo then took over, scoring in the 27th minute and capping it with a superb low-driven free kick in the 81st that beat the wall and nestled in the far corner.
Despite the rains, Ajegunle dominated from start to finish and sent a message after Week 1βs talking points.

St. Petersburg FA 5-3 Seraphic FA
8 goals. End-to-end action. This was pure entertainment.
Ebuka Emeka scored early in the 2nd minute and again in the 55th. David Ohaeri made it 3-1 in the 15th, before Emmanuel Ebube sealed it with late goals in the 80th and 88th minutes.
For Seraphic, Ebube Ugwunna equalized almost immediately in the 2nd minute, and Fred Apoh was the star with two brilliant free kicks in the 50th and 65th minutes β both spilled by the goalkeeper.
