AJEGUNLE β€” The Nathaniel Idowu U-16 Football League enters Week 2 on Saturday, 12th September 2026, with six fixtures across two venues and plenty of storylines after a 22-goal opening day.

Week 1 set the tone with fast goals, big wins, and draws. Now teams return with lessons learned and points to chase.

    FULL WEEK 2 PREVIEW

VENUE 1: NEW MARACANA SPORTS COMPLEX, TOLU

8:00AM: FORTUNE FA vs DIVINELY BLESSED FA
Fortune FA opened with a statement comeback, beating St Petersburg FA after conceding in 42 seconds. Subs Lateef Wasiu, Ibrahim Olaoye and Odesola Odunayo proved their bench can win games.
Divinely Blessed FA also made headlines as Ugwuokolie Chidalu scored after 6 seconds in Week 1. They’ll look to turn that early spark into their first win.

Key Battle: Fortune’s squad depth vs Divinely Blessed’s fast starts.
Prediction: Goals expected. 2-2 draw likely if both teams start quick.

9:15AM: SC HERITAGE vs YOUNG ELEVEN FA
Debutants SC Heritage showed character with Jonathan Norbert’s late brace to secure a point against Moore Wins FA. They won’t fear anyone.
Young Eleven FA drew 1-1 with Ajegunle United in Week 1. They looked solid but lacked a cutting edge. A win here puts them in early contention.

Key Battle: Heritage’s late energy vs Young Eleven’s organization.
    Prediction: Tight. 1-1 draw.

10:30AM: BRIGHT STAR FA vs ATICO FOOTBALL ACADEMY
Bright Star FA were ruthless in Week 1, thrashing Seraphic FC 5-1. Valentine Aniako scored 4, including a second-half hat-trick. He’s already the man to watch for the Golden Boot.
Atico Football Academy make their debut and face the toughest possible test. They’ll need a perfect defensive plan to contain Bright Star.

Key Battle: Aniako vs Atico backline.
    Prediction: Bright Star favorites. 3-1.

VENUE 2: NATHANIEL IDOWU FOOTBALL PITCH, OREGIE

1:00PM: AJEGUNLE UNITED SC vs MOORE WINS FOUNDATION FA
This is more than 3 points. It’s revenge.
Both teams drew their Week 1 games. Ajegunle United drew 1-1 with Young Eleven FA, while Moore Wins also shared points with SC Heritage after conceding a late brace.
But history adds spice. During the Under-14 edition, Moore Wins beat Ajegunle United 3-1. Ajegunle will be desperate to avenge that loss on home turf. Expect pride, tackles, and emotion.

Key Battle: Ajegunle’s motivation vs Moore Wins’ composure.
Prediction: Derby fever. 2-1 Ajegunle United.

2:30PM: ST. PETERSBURG FA vs SERAPHIC FA
St. Petersburg showed they can hurt teams early, scoring after 42 seconds vs Fortune, but couldn’t hold the lead. They’ll want to be more clinical this time.
Seraphic FA had a nightmare Week 1, losing 5-1 to Bright Star. The defense leaked goals and they need an immediate response to avoid an early crisis.

Key Battle: St. Petersburg’s quick attacks vs Seraphic’s wounded pride.
Prediction: Both teams will attack. 3-2 St. Petersburg.
